The Ryagaba Camp on the Ponoi is perhaps the most luxurious tent camp in
the world. Heated tents with wood floors, comfortable beds, and
hospitable camp staff make your days in camp as relaxing as the days
afield.
The Fishing
One of the last strongholds for Atlantic Salmon, the Ponoi boasts
catches in a single week that rival those of an entire season at other
camps. Atlantic Salmon are known for their strength, stamina, and
spectacular aerial displays. The fish range from 2lbs to well over 20lbs
with the average fish being somewhere in the 7-9lb range.
The camp utilizes modern
jet boats and helicopters to reach the more distant beats. Long walks
are not required and one of the best salmon pools in the world lies just
a few steps away from camp.
