Overview
Bell II Lodge is located in northwestern British Columbia in the shadow of the Skeena Mountain Range.The lodge specializes in providing destination fly fishing packages for Steelhead in Northwestern British Columbia. They can offer anglers the choice of four unique rivers in the Nass Watershed, one of the last true wild steelhead strongholds. Bell II Lodge provides guests with modern, comfortable facilities located directly on the Bell Irving River. Their crew of dedicated guides, chefs, and lodge staff are brimming with experience, knowledge, attention to detail, and focus on customer service.

All packages include jet boat or raft access fly fishing on the Bell Irving River. Helicopter fishing packages for Steelhead and Coho Salmon can be customized to suit your specific desires. Packages begin in late September and run until mid November. Lodge capacity is limited to 4 small groups (2 or 3 guests) of guided anglers per week. This allows our clients the opportunity to fish different, virgin water each day.

Accommodations

The lodge has recently been entirely remodeled, refurbished and renovated. It offers the comforts of a first class hotel with a rustic touch of the Canadian wild.

The dining room and bar act as a focal point for your fishing tales to be shared. Guests are accommodated in log chalets, located approximately 100 meters from the lodge. All rooms have a private bathroom and two queen size beds.
Fishing guests have access to a specially designed drying and equipment storage room. Rod and reel racks, boot and wader drying facilities will keep all your gear safe, dry and ready to use. A fly tying vice and all the essential fly fishing maintenance equipment is available. A limited selection of flies, lines and fishing tackle can be purchased in our pro shop.

The Fishing

Steelhead are a sea run rainbow trout and can vary from 1lb to 30lbs. This particular run of fish averages 8-10 lbs with 15 lb fish quite regular and the occasional fish 20lbs+. The other types of fish in the river at that time are bull trout and coho salmon. Bull trout are native char from 1 lb to 8 lbs which take steelhead flies and can give a good account of themselves though the fight is less spectacular than the steelhead. Coho salmon can take the fly quite readily and put up a very powerful fight. These fish prefer slightly different water conditions than steelhead, but each fall a number of coho are landed by our steelhead fishing guests. There are also whitefish which weight around the 1 lb mark and occasionally try to take the fly.

Alcoholic beverages and fishing licenses are not included in the packages.
Fishing licenses are available at the lodge.

A deposit of CAD $1500 will be required at the time of booking your fishing package. All deposits totally are non-refundable.
Full payment of the balance is due 90 days prior to trip start date.
We recommend that all guests purchase a trip cancellation insurance policy. Details of this service will be available from our office at the time of booking.  All guests will be required to sign a "RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT". If a cancellation is necessary for any reason, it should be made in writing. If cancellation occurs after 90 days before the start of your fishing package, payment of the balance is due in full. No cancellation fee has to be paid if the angler canceling a package finds a suitable person as a substitute that takes over the contractual obligations.


7 Day Heli-Fishing Packages (Friday to Friday)

Daily heli-fishing is available for CAD $1000 per day and can be booked prior or at the lodge.
These fisheries are remote, inaccessible by road or water and have an untouched wilderness environment. We fish in groups of two anglers per guide and are able to accommodate four guests each day on the helicopter. Each weekly package includes three days of helicopter fishing and three days of fishing on the Bell Irving River.
